Ford UAW Training Center

About

A Tuttle Construction project completed in 1995 through a collaborative effort between the UAW, Ford, and Rhodes State, the Ford UAW Training Center stands as a testament to our commitment to training and building future workforces for the Lima Engine plant and the surrounding region.

At the heart of the building is a stunning lecture hall, featuring tiered seating serving Ford, the UAW, and the local community to this day.

The centerpiece of the building is the rotunda lobby, where an intriguing acoustic phenomenon awaits. While one stands in the center, sounds reverberate from all directions, creating an unforgettable sensory experience!

Tuttle Construction has a longstanding history with the Ford Lima Engine Plant, having been involved in numerous major expansions over the years. The Ford UAW Training Center project adds another chapter to our rich legacy with Ford.

We proudly celebrated the grand opening of this exceptional facility on MLK Jr Day, January 16, 1995. To honor the heritage of the plant, the building proudly displays historical memorabilia dating back to its establishment in 1955.

We are thrilled to share that our commitment to excellence and craftsmanship was recognized with the prestigious 1995 Build Ohio Award for New Construction under $10 million.
